Word up man. UNT is over rated. My guitar player went graduated from there and he said that they are a jazz machine. They produce exact replica players who all play the same, sound the same, and no one really ends up with there own style and sound that identifies them as a unique player. When I play I want people to know that its me. Also I want to learn how to play all styles and play them well. Dont get me wrong I love jazz but I dont want to be proficient at just jazz and then when fusion , or funk, or reggae or latin or world music gigs comes my way not be able to feel it and play it. I want to know and do it all man.

I played in the CCCC lab band for two semesters. Im signed up to play at richland this next semester for. Ive been taking private lessons from phil mcneese for 3 1/2 years and I will be attending Musicians Institute in
L.A. next fall. What about you? Are you a north texas guy?

Im a bass player. My first instrument was trombone. I still play but there are more opportunitys to work playin the bass so ive been focused on that for a few years. I play bass for the Dave semans jazz trio right now but he has so much other stuff going on its hard to find time to work.

I'm so excited today. Two of my most influential jazz musical mentors, Robert "Doc" Morgan and Marvin "Prof" Sparks has joined the network. I'm so proud to have had both of these gentlemen as major influences in my musical, personal, and business development. I'm just showing off. Excuse me for being excited.
