I'm a pianist, trombonist, composer/arranger.
Lived most of my life in and around NY, but have been an expat in Midwestern Canada for the past 12 years. Love it here. Great people of all kinds, especially musicians. We freeze various parts of our anatomy off most of the year, but maybe that makes us practice more.
I've had the privilege of playing with many great musicians over the years, but the ones that excite me most now are right here in this town: my mates in Papa Mambo, The Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra, Ron Paley's Big Band, The Air Command Band, my trio, and all the others I get to hear and work with regularly. You know who you are, and soon many more will also know -- such is the quality of your musicianship.
This is my first foray into the social network thing. I look forward to seeing what happens.

My Two Jazz Teachers Just Joined The Network!
Hello JMS Members,
I'm so excited today. Two of my most influential jazz musical mentors, Robert "Doc" Morgan and Marvin "Prof" Sparks has joined the network. I'm so proud to have had both of these gentlemen as major influences in my musical, personal, and business development. I'm just showing off. Excuse me for being excited.

I don't know about you cats, but my new music budget has evaporated over the years.
